Nearly 90% of financial support for art like The Quarry Project comes from individual donors like you. Your contribution dollars are integral to this project’s success.
The Quarry Project is a production of Cradle to Grave Arts, Inc. – a 501c3 non-profit started in 1991 and based in Vermont.
For the public performances in August 2020, the audience will be seated on their own floating, tethered platform. Here is a link to the drawing of this platform. These engineered plastic cubes are what Christo used on Lake Iseo. They are perfect for what we have in mind for the audience - a sense of the water that buoys us all. Help us realize this part of what is a truly singular dance performance event.
The Quarry Project is so complex it is taking 4 years from start to finish. It is a huge undertaking requiring innovative people on all levels; 29 performers, 5 collaborating artists, 7 technical team members, 9 presenting partners, 19 volunteers, and numerous donors form the core of this project. The community of supporters is growing. We invite you to be a part of this extraordinary event.
The Quarry Project is initiated and directed by Hannah Dennison who has a 40 year history in making dance work in unorthodox spaces. She brings together highly skilled persons from around the region to realize these projects. At the heart of the art lies connection - to each other, to place, to shared stories - and a deep care and compassion for the world we inhabit.
